Tamar Sharon est professeure de philosophie, numérisation et société à l'université Radboud aux Pays-Bas, où elle codirige le Hub interdisciplinaire pour la numérisation et la société (iHub).
Ses recherches portent sur la manière dont la numérisation déstabilise les valeurs publiques – telles que la solidarité, l'autonomie et la démocratie – et sur les meilleures façons de les protéger.
Elle a mené des recherches sur le posthumanisme, le « Quantified Self », la solidarité pandemique, et sur l'expansion des Big Tech dans les sectuers publics, tels que la santé et l'éducation. Prof.

Sharon est membre du EGE – le Groupe européen d'éthique des sciences et des nouvelles technologies à la Commission européenne et de l'Académie royale néerlandaise des arts et des sciences.
